Prime Minister Modi mentioned the repeal of Article 370 and the outlawing of triple talaq as two of the many decisions made by the 17th Lok Sabha that had been long awaited by numerous generations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday highlighted the NDA government’s motto of “reform, perform, and transform” by stating that the 17th Lok Sabha made several decisions that had been long awaited by many generations. He specifically mentioned the repeal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the outlawing of triple talaq. Speaking at the 17th Lok Sabha’s final session, Prime Minister Modi stated that 30 bills were passed during the body’s tenure, and that the 17th Lok Sabha was 97% productive.

Proclaiming his belief in’minimum government, maximum governance’, the prime minister declared that democracy would be stronger the faster “the government gets out of people’s day-to-day lives”.

PM Modi added that the BJP government combated terrorism with strict legislation and provided “social justice” to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
