Leaders from different political parties condolences for Farooq Nazki's experienced broadcaster's passing
Srinagar, February 06: Leaders from all political stripes sent their condolences today for the passing of Sahitya Akademi winner, poet, and seasoned broadcaster Mir Mohammad Farooq Nazki.
Ghulam Nabi Azad, the chairman of the DPAP, expressed his profound sadness at the passing of broadcaster and poet Farooq Nazki.
“I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of the living legend Farooq Nazki Sahib,” Azad said in a statement. His media reach and literary genius were unmatched. His writing and broadcasting contributions will always be valued for their long influence on our intellectual and cultural heritage.” stated Azad.
Both Vice President Omar Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party and a member of parliament from Srinagar, expressed their anguish and sorrow.
“Heard about Nazki sahib’s passing with profound grief and sorrow,” Dr. Farooq stated in his letter. In a significant way, he will be recognized for his outstanding contributions to the media and literature. Kashmir’s literary communities have lost a tremendous deal today. May the soul of the deceased find eternal peace. I’m sending my sympathies to his family during this difficult time.

My deepest regrets and condolences go out to his family and many admirers. Nazki Shahib, a well-known figure in Kashmir’s modern literary scene, has made a reputation for himself as one of the nation’s foremost Urdu poets. He had also enhanced Kashmiri poetry with fresh metaphors, positivism, and modernism through his delicate and skillful word choice and thought manipulation.”

Sajad Gani Lone, the president of the Peoples Conference, expressed his sincere sympathies on the demise of Farooq Nazki, the former director of Doordarshan and AIR Srinagar.
According to Lone’s condolence statement, Farooq Nazki’s departure signifies the end of a noteworthy chapter in Jammu and Kashmir’s media and cultural environment.
“A luminary in poetry, broadcasting and media, Farooq Nazki’s eloquent verses and steadfast commitment to his craft earned him widespread respect,” he said.
A spokesman for the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee described Farooq Nazki’s departure as a major loss to the people of J&K and said that the renowned broadcaster and Sahitya Academy recognized poet would always be remembered for his intelligence, compassion, and head. According to the spokesperson for the JKPCC, Nazki Saheb never wavered from his moral convictions and always used his pen in the proper way.
“Farooq Nazki, a veteran writer, poet, and scholar, is no more. He worked as head of radio and Doordarshan Kendra in trying times. His departure has created a huge void in the literary circle of the region,” stated CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami in the meantime.
